Quran  Translation

All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him and we seek his help and ask His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allah from the evil of our selves and from the evil results of our actions. I testify that Allah alone is worthy of worship and that Muhammad is His slave and final Messenger. May Allah's salawat (peace and blessings) be upon the last and final messenger Muhammad, his family and his followers. Ameen!

To begin: The best discourse is the book of Allah, and the best way is the way of Muhammad, and the worst of the matters in the religion are those newly introduced innovations, for every innovation in the religion is misguidance, and every misguidance is going astray and every going astray is in the Hellfire.

http://bayanats.com/index%20of%20Bayanats/Quran%20and%20%20Translation/

1. Respect and honor all human beings irrespective of their religion, color, race, sex, language, status, property, birth, profession/job and so on

[17/70] Verily we have honoured the Children of Adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them above many of those whom We created with a marked preferment.

2. Talk straight, to the point, without any ambiguity or deception

[33/70] O ye who believe! Guard your duty to Allah, and speak words straight to the point;

3. Choose best words to speak and say them in the best possible way

[17/53, 2/83] Tell My bondmen to speak that which is kindlier. Lo! the devil soweth discord among them. Lo! the devil is for man an open foe. And (remember) when We made a covenant with the Children of Israel, (saying): Worship none save Allah (only), and be good to parents and to kindred and to orphans and the needy, and speak kindly to mankind; and establish worship and pay the poor-due. Then, after that, ye slid back, save a few of you, being averse.

4. Do not shout. Speak politely keeping your voice low.

[31/19] Be modest in thy bearing and subdue thy voice. Lo! the harshest of all voices is the voice of the ass.

5. Always speak the truth. Shun words that are deceitful and ostentatious

[22/30] That (is the command). And whoso magnifieth the sacred things of Allah, it will be well for him in the sight of his Lord. The cattle are lawful unto you save that which hath been told you. So shun the filth of idols, and shun lying speech

6. Do not confound truth with falsehood

[2/42] Confound not truth with falsehood, nor knowingly conceal the truth.

7. Say with your mouth what is in your heart

[3/167] And that He might know the hypocrites, unto whom it was said: Come, fight in the way of Allah, or defend yourselves. They answered: If we knew aught of fighting we would follow you. On that day they were nearer disbelief than faith. They utter with their mouths a thing which is not in their hearts. Allah is Best Aware of what they hide.

8. Speak in a civilized manner in a language that is recognized by the society and is commonly used

[4/5] Give not unto the foolish (what is in) your (keeping of their) wealth, which Allah hath given you to maintain; but feed and clothe them from it, and speak kindly unto them

9. When you voice an opinion, be just, even if it is against a relative

[6/152] And approach not the wealth of the orphan save with that which is better, till he reach maturity. Give full measure and full weight, in justice. We task not any soul beyond its scope. And if ye give your word, do justice thereunto, even though it be (against) a kinsman; and fulfil the covenant of Allah. This He commandeth you that haply ye may remember.

10. Do not be a bragging boaster

[31/18] Turn not thy cheek in scorn toward folk, nor walk with pertness in the land. Lo! Allah loveth not each braggart boaster.

11. Do not talk, listen or do anything vain

[23/3, 28/55] Successful indeed are the believers Who are humble in their prayers,And who shun vain conversation,...And when they hear vanity they withdraw from it and say: Unto us our works and unto you your works. Peace be unto you! We desire not the ignorant.

12. Do not participate in any paltry. If you pass near a futile play, then pass by with dignity

[25/72] And those who will not witness vanity, but when they pass near senseless play, pass by with dignity.

13. Do not verge upon any immodesty or lewdness whether surreptitious or overt

[6/151] Say: Come, I will recite unto you that which your Lord hath made a sacred duty for you: That ye ascribe no thing as partner unto Him and that ye do good to parents, and that ye slay not your children because of penury - We provide for you and for them - and that ye draw not nigh to lewd things whether open or concealed. And that ye slay not the life which Allah hath made sacred, save in the course of justice. This He hath command you, in order that ye may discern.

14. If, unintentionally, any misconduct occurs by you, then correct yourself expeditiously

[3/134] Those who spend (of that which Allah hath given them) in ease and in adversity, those who control their wrath and are forgiving toward mankind; Allah loveth the good;

15. Do not be contemptuous or arrogant with people

[31/18] Turn not thy cheek in scorn toward folk, nor walk with pertness in the land. Lo! Allah loveth not each braggart boaster

16. Do not walk haughtily or with conceit

[17/37, 31/18] And walk not in the earth exultant. Lo! thou canst not rend the earth, nor canst thou stretch to the height of the hills.

17. Be moderate in thy pace

[31/19] Be modest in thy bearing and subdue thy voice. Lo! the harshest of all voices is the voice of the ass.

18. Walk with humility and sedateness

 [25/63] The (faithful) slaves of the Beneficent are they who walk upon the earth modestly, and when the foolish ones address them answer: Peace;

19. Keep your gazes lowered devoid of any lecherous leers and salacious stares

[24/30-31] Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and be modest. That is purer for them. Lo! Allah is aware of what they do.And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their own husbands or fathers or husbands' fathers, or their sons or their husbands' sons, or their brothers or their brothers' sons or sisters' sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack vigour, or children who know naught of women's nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah together, O believers, in order that ye may succeed

20. If you do not have complete knowledge about anything, it is better to keep silent. You might think that speaking about something without full knowledge is a trivial matter. But it might have grave consequences

[24/15-16] When ye welcomed it with your tongues, and uttered with your mouths that whereof ye had no knowledge, ye counted it a trifle. In the sight of Allah it is very great.
Wherefor, when ye heard it, said ye not: It is not for us to speak of this. Glory be to Thee (O Allah)! This is awful calumny

21. When you hear something malicious about someone, keep a favourable view about him/her until you attain full knowledge about the matter. Consider others innocent until they are proven guilty with solid and truthful evidence

[24/12-13] Why did not the believers, men and women, when ye heard it, think good of their own own folk, and say: It is a manifest untruth?
Why did they not produce four witnesses? Since they produce not witnesses, they verily are liars in the sight of Allah

22. Ascertain the truth of any news, lest you smite someone in ignorance and afterwards repent of what you did

[49/6] O ye who believe! If an evil-liver bring you tidings, verify it, lest ye smite some folk in ignorance and afterward repent of what ye did.

23. Do not follow blindly any information of which you have no direct knowledge. (Using your faculties of perception and conception) you must verify it for yourself. In the Court of your Lord, you will be held accountable for your hearing, sight, and the faculty of reasoning

[17/36] O man), follow not that whereof thou hast no knowledge. Lo! the hearing and the sight and the heart - of each of these it will be asked.

24. Never think that you have reached the final stage of knowledge and nobody knows more than yourself. Remember! Above everyone endowed with knowledge is another endowed with more knowledge

[12/76]. Even the Prophet [p.b.u.h] was asked to keep praying, "O My sustainer! Advance me in knowledge." [20:114] Then exalted be Allah, the True King! And hasten not (O Muhammad) with the Qur'an ere its revelation hath been perfected unto thee, and say: My Lord! Increase me in knowledge.

25. The believers are but a single Brotherhood. Live like members of one family, brothers and sisters unto one another

[49/10] The believers are naught else than brothers. Therefore make peace between your brethren and observe your duty to Allah that haply ye may obtain mercy.

26. Do not make mockery of others or ridicule others

27. Do not defame others
28. Do not insult others by nicknames

[49/11] O ye who believe! Let not a folk deride a folk who may be better than they (are), not let women (deride) women who may be better than they are; neither defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. Bad is the name of lewdness after faith. And whoso turneth not in repentance, such are evil-doers

29. Avoid suspicion and guesswork. Suspicion and guesswork might deplete your communal energy
30. Spy not upon one another

31. Do not backbite one another

[49/12] O ye who believe! Shun much suspicion; for lo! some suspicion is a crime. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you love to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Ye abhor that (so abhor the other)! And keep your duty (to Allah). Lo! Allah is Relenting, Merciful.

32. When you meet each other, offer good wishes and blessings for safety. One who conveys to you a message of safety and security and also when a courteous greeting is offered to you, meet it with a greeting still more courteous or (at least) of equal courtesy

[4/86] When ye are greeted with a greeting, greet ye with a better than it or return it. Lo! Allah taketh count of all things.

33. When you enter your own home or the home of somebody else, compliment the inmates

[24/61] No blame is there upon the blind nor any blame upon the lame nor any blame upon the sick nor on yourselves if ye eat from your houses, or the houses of your fathers, or the houses of your mothers, or the houses of your brothers, or the houses of your sisters, or the houses of your fathers' brothers, or the houses of your fathers' sisters, or the houses of your mothers' brothers, or the houses of your mothers' sisters, or (from that) whereof ye hold the keys, or (from the house) of a friend. No sin shall it be for you whether ye eat together or apart. But when ye enter houses, salute one another with a greeting from Allah, blessed and sweet. Thus Allah maketh clear His revelations for you, that haply ye may understand

34. Do not enter houses other than your own until you have sought permission; and then greet the inmates and wish them a life of blessing, purity and pleasure

[24/27] O ye who believe! Enter not houses other than your own without first announcing your presence and invoking peace upon the folk thereof. That is better for you, that ye may be heedful.

35. Treat kindly : Your parents; Relatives; The orphans; And those who have been left alone in the society
36. Take care of : The needy, The disabled, Those whose hard earned income is insufficient to meet their needs; And those whose businesses have stalled ; And those who have lost their jobs.
37. Treat kindly : Your related neighbors, and unrelated neighbors; Companions by your side in public gatherings, or public transportation.
38. Be generous to the needy wayfarer, the homeless son of the street, and the one who reaches you in a destitute condition
39. Be nice to people who work under your care

[4/36]And serve Allah. Ascribe no thing as partner unto Him. (Show) kindness unto parents, and unto near kindred, and orphans, and the needy, and unto the neighbour who is of kin (unto you) and the neighbour who is not of kin, and the fellow-traveller and the wayfarer and (the slaves) whom your right hands possess. Lo! Allah loveth not such as are proud and boastful,

40. Do not follow up what you have given to others to afflict them with reminders of your generosity

[2/262] Those who spend their wealth for the cause of Allah and afterward make not reproach and injury to follow that which they have spent; their reward is with their Lord, and there shall no fear come upon them, neither shall they grieve.

41. Do not expect a return for your good behavior, not even thanks

 [76/9] Saying): We feed you, for the sake of Allah only. We wish for no reward nor thanks from you;

42. Cooperate with one another in good deeds and do not cooperate with others in evil and bad matters

[5/2] O ye who believe! Profane not Allah's monuments nor the Sacred Month nor the offerings nor the garlands, nor those repairing to the Sacred House, seeking the grace and pleasure of their Lord. But when ye have left the sacred territory, then go hunting (if ye will). And let not your hatred of a folk who (once) stopped your going to the inviolable place of worship seduce you to transgress; but help ye one another unto righteousness and pious duty. Help not one another unto sin and transgression, but keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is severe in punishment.

43. Do no try to impress people on account of self-
proclaimed virtues

[53/32]Those who avoid enormities of sin and abominations, save the unwilled offences - (for them) lo! thy Lord is of vast mercy. He is Best Aware of you (from the time) when He created you from the earth, and when ye were hidden in the bellies of your mothers. Therefor ascribe not purity unto yourselves. He is Best Aware of him who wardeth off (evil).

44. You should enjoin right conduct on others but mend your own ways first. Actions speak louder than words. You must first practice good deeds yourself, then preach

[2/44] Enjoin ye righteousness upon mankind while ye yourselves forget (to practise it)? And ye are readers of the Scripture! Have ye then no sense?

45. Correct yourself and your families first [before trying to correct others]

[66/6] O ye who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire whereof the fuel is men and stones, over which are set angels strong, severe, who resist not Allah in that which He commandeth them, but do that which they are commanded.

46. Pardon gracefully if anyone among you who commits a bad deed out of ignorance, and then repents and amends

[6/54] And when those who believe in Our revelations come unto thee, say: Peace be unto you! Your Lord hath prescribed for Himself mercy, that whoso of you doeth evil through ignorance and repenteth afterward thereof and doeth right, (for him) lo! He is Forgiving, Merciful.

47. Divert and sublimate your anger and potentially virulent emotions to creative energy, and become a source of tranquillity and comfort to people

 [3/134] Those who spend (of that which Allah hath given them) in ease and in adversity, those who control their wrath and are forgiving toward mankind; Allah loveth the good;

48. Call people to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful exhortation. Reason with them most decently

[16/125] Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who go aright.

49. Leave to themselves those who do not give any importance to the Divine code and have adopted and consider it as mere play and amusement

[6/70] And forsake those who take their religion for a pastime and a jest, and whom the life of the world beguileth. Remind (mankind) hereby lest a soul be destroyed by what it earneth. It hath beside Allah no protecting ally nor intercessor, and though it offer every compensation it will not be accepted from it. Those are they who perish by their own deserts. For them is drink of boiling water and a painful doom, because they disbelieved

50. Sit not in the company of those who ridicule Divine Law unless they engage in some other conversation

[4/140] He hath already revealed unto you in the Scripture that, when ye hear the revelations of Allah rejected and derided, (ye) sit not with them (who disbelieve and mock) until they engage in some other conversation. Lo! in that case (if ye stayed) ye would be like unto them. Lo! Allah will gather hypocrites and disbelievers, all together, into hell;

51. Do not be jealous of those who are blessed

[4/54] Or are they jealous of mankind because of that which Allah of His bounty hath bestowed upon them? For We bestowed upon the house of Abraham (of old) the Scripture and wisdom, and We bestowed on them a mighty kingdom.

52. In your collective life, make rooms for others

[58/11] O ye who believe! when it is said unto you, Make room! in assemblies, then make room; Allah will make way for you (hereafter). And when it is said, Come up higher! go up higher; Allah will exalt those who believe among you, and those who have knowledge, to high ranks. Allah is Informed of what ye do

53. When invited to dine, Go at the appointed time. Do not arrive too early to wait for the preparation of meal or linger after eating to engage in bootless babble. Such things may cause inconvenience to the host

[33/53] O Ye who believe! Enter not the dwellings of the Prophet for a meal without waiting for the proper time, unless permission be granted you. But if ye are invited, enter, and, when your meal is ended, then disperse. Linger not for conversation. Lo! that would cause annoyance to the Prophet, and he would be shy of (asking) you (to go); but Allah is not shy of the truth. And when ye ask of them (the wives of the Prophet) anything, ask it of them from behind a curtain. That is purer for your hearts and for their hearts. And it is not for you to cause annoyance to the messenger of Allah, nor that ye should ever marry his wives after him. Lo! that in Allah's sight would be an enormity.

54. Eat and drink [what is lawful] in moderation
55. Do not squander your wealth

7:31 (Asad) O CHILDREN of Adam! Beautify yourselves [23] for every act of worship, and eat and drink [freely], but do not waste: verily, He does not love the wasteful!

56. Fulfill your promises and commitments

[17/34] Come not near the wealth of the orphan save with that which is better till he come to strength; and keep the covenant. Lo! of the covenant it will be asked

57. Keep yourself clean, pure

[9/108] Never stand (to pray) there. A place of worship which was found upon duty (to Allah) from the first day is more worthy that thou shouldst stand (to pray) therein, wherein are men who love to purify themselves. Allah loveth the purifiers.

58. Dress-up in agreeable attire and adorn yourself with exquisite character from inside out

[7/26].  (Asad) O CHILDREN of Adam! Indeed, We have bestowed upon you from on high [the knowledge of making] garments to cover your nakedness, and as a thing of beauty: but the garment of God-consciousness is the best of all. Herein lies a message from God, so that man" might take it to heart.

59. Seek your provision only by fair endeavor

60. Do not devour the wealth and property of others unjustly, nor bribe the officials or the judges to deprive others of their possessions

2:188  AND DEVOUR NOT one another's possessions

wrongfully, and neither employ legal artifices
  with a view

to devouring sinfully, and knowingly, anything that by right

belongs to others.

4:36 AND WORSHIP God [alone], and do not ascribe divinity,

in any way, to aught beside Him.  And do good unto your parents,

and near of kin, and unto orphans, and the needy,

and the neighbour from among your own people,

and the neighbour who is a stranger,

and the friend by your side, and the wayfarer,

and those whom you rightfully possess.

Verily, God does not love any of those who,

 full of self-conceit, act in a boastful manner;

·  39:53  SAY: "[Thus speaks God:]  ‘O you servants of

Mine who have transgressed against your own selves!

Despair not of God's mercy: behold, God forgives all sins -

for, verily, He alone is much-forgiving, a dispenser

 of grace!' " ·

I accept Islam and believe and declare that there is none worthy of worship besides Allah and Muhammad [sallallaahu alayhi wasallam] is the messenger of Allah.

In Allah let believers put their Trust. ,

(1) There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most Trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

(  سورة البقرة  , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #256)

(2) And if you are on a journey and cannot find a scribe, then let there be a pledge taken (mortgaging) ; then if one of you enTrust the other, let the one who is enTrusted discharge his Trust (faithfully), and let him be afraid of Allah, his Lord. And conceal not the evidence for he, who hides it, surely his heart is sinful. And Allah is All-Knower of what you do.

(  سورة البقرة  , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #283)

(3) Among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) is he who, if enTrusted with a Qintar (a great amount of wealth, etc.), will readily pay it back; and among them there is he who, if enTrusted with a single silver coin, will not repay it unless you constantly stand demanding, because they say: "There is no blame on us to betray and take the properties of the illiterates (Arabs)." But they tell a lie against Allahwhile they know it.

(4) When two parties from among you were about to lose heart, but Allah was their Wali (Supporter and Protector). And in Allah should the believers put their Trust

(5) And by the Mercy of Allah, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allah's) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your Trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their Trust (in Him).

(6) If Allah helps you, none can overcome you; and if He forsakes you, who is there after Him that can help you? And in Allah (Alone) let believers put their Trust

(ArabicTransliterationUrdu (Ahmed Ali) Urdu (Jalandhry) Yusuf AliShakirPicthalMohsin KhanFrenchSpanishIndonesian,MalayGermanBosnianRussianTafsir - Jalal ad-DinTafsir - King Fahad Quran Complex)

(7) Verily! Allah commands that you should render back the Trusts to those to whom they are due; and that when you judge between men, you judge with justice. Verily, how excellent is the teaching which He (Allah) gives you! Truly, Allah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Seer.

(8) They say: "We are obedient," but when they leave you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), a section of them spend all night in planning other than what you say. But Allah records their nightly (plots). So turn aside from them (do not punish them), and put your Trust in Allah. And Allah is Ever All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.

(  سورة النساء  , An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #81)
(ArabicTransliterationUrdu (Ahmed Ali) Urdu (Jalandhry) Yusuf AliShakirPicthalMohsin KhanFrenchSpanishIndonesian,MalayGermanBosnianRussianTafsir - Jalal ad-DinTafsir - King Fahad Quran Complex)

(9) O you who believe! Remember the Favour of Allah unto you when some people desired (made a plan) to stretch out their hands against you, but (Allah) held back their hands from you. So fear Allah. And inAllah let the believers put their Trust

(11) Verily, We did send down the Taurat (Torah) [to Musa (Moses)], therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allah's Will, judged for the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests [too judged for the Jews by the Taurat (Torah) after those Prophets], for to them was enTrusted the protection of Allah's Book, and they were witnesses thereto. Therefore fear not men but fear Me (O Jews) and sell not My Verses for a miserable price. So judge among them by what Allah has revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging away from the truth that has come to you. To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way. If Allah had willed, He would have made you one nation, but that (He) may test you in what He has given you; so compete in good deeds. Abu Dharr (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “The Kursiy in relation to the Throne is like an iron ring thrown out into empty land.”

Praise be to Allah swt.

The Kursiy is the footstool of the Most Merciful, according to the most correct of the scholarly opinions on the matter. The ‘Arsh (Throne) is

the greatest of all things that Allaah has created, over which our Lord rose in  a manner that befits His Majesty. It has pillars and is carried by

bearers who are angels of immense size. The evidence for the above is given below, along with the comments of some of the scholarsIt

was narrated that Ibn Mas’ood said: Between the first heaven and the one above it is (a distance of) five hundred years. Between each

of the heavens is (a distance of) five hundred years. Between the seventh heaven and the Kursiy is (a distance of) five hundred years. Between the Kursiy

and the water is (a distance of) five hundred years, and the Throne is above the water. Allaah is above the Throne, and nothing whatsoever of

your deeds is hidden from Him. (narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah in al-Tawheed, p. 105; by al-Bayhaqi in al-Asmaa’ wa’l-Sifaat, p.

401). This report was classed as saheeh by Ibn al-Qayyim in Ijtimaa’ al-Juyoosh al-Islamiyah, p. 100; by al-Dhahabi in al-‘Uluw, p. 64).Shaykh Ibn

‘Uthaymeen said: This hadeeth stops at Ibn Mas’ood (it is mawqoof), but this is one of the matters concerning which there is no

room for opinion, so it comes under the heading of marfoo’ [ahaadeeth whose isnaad goes back to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon

him)], because Ibn Mas’ood is not known to have taken anything from the Israa’eeliyyaat [reports derived from Jewish sources]. (al-Qawl al-Mufeed

Sharh Kitaab al-Tawheed, 3/379) Imaam Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhaab said, in the list of points noted from this hadeeth: …..(9)  The great

size of the Kursiy in relation to the heavens. (10)     The great size of the Throne in relation to the Kursiy. (11)     That the Throne is

something other than the Kursiy and the water. (Sharh Kitaab al-Tawheed, p. 667, 668). The Throne of the Most Merciful is the

greatest and most vast thing in His creation. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “So Exalted be Allaah, the True King: Laa

ilaaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! [al-Mu’minoon 23:116] “and He is

the Lord of the Mighty Throne” [al-Tawbah 9:129] “Owner of the Throne, the Glorious” [al-Burooj 85:15] Al-Qurtubi said: The

Throne is mentioned on its own because it is the greatest thing that Allaah has created; everything else is also included in

this. (Tafseer al-Qurtubi, 8/302, 303). Ibn Katheer said: “and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne” [al-Tawbah 9:129 –

interpretation of the meaning] means, He is the Sovereign andCreator of all things, because He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne

which is the roof of creation. All created things, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them and in between them are beneath

the Throne of Allaah and are subject to His power. His knowledge encompasses all things and His power controls all things, and He

is Watcher over all things. (Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 2/405) The Throne is above the Kursiy, and is above all of creation.

We believed as Allah said in his book and prophet explained as, we don’t add any comparison to it, or compare to creation.

:

In the Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Most Kind

All praise is to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. I ask His forgiveness, seek His aid, and ask Him for guidance. I seek refuge in Allah from the evil that is in ourselves, and from the evil of our actions. Whomever Allah guides, none can send astray, and whomever Allah let astray, none can guide. We testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone and without partner. And, I testify that Muhammad (saws) is His slave (banda) and messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, his family, his companions and the rightly guided predecessors until the Last Day. Ameen.

[9:71] The Believers, men and women, are protectors, one of another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil: they observe regular prayers, practice regular charity, and obey Allah and His Messenger. On them will Allah pour His Mercy: for Allah is Exalted in power, Wise.

[3:104] Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: they are the ones to attain felicity.

[3:110] Ye are the best of Peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had Faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have Faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors.

[5:78] Curses were pronounced on those among the Children of Israel who rejected Faith, by the tongue of Dawud and of 'Isa, the son of Maryam, because they disobeyed and persisted in Excesses.

[5:79] Nor did they (usually) forbid one another the iniquities which they committed: evil indeed were the deeds which they did.

[7:165] When they disregarded the warnings that had been given them, We rescued those who forbade evil; but We visited the wrong-doers with a grievous punishment, because they were given to transgression.

[7:199] Hold to forgiveness; command what is right; but turn away from the ignorant.

[15:94] Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah.

[18:30] As to those who believe and work righteousness, verily We shall not suffer to perish the reward of any who do a (single) righteous deed.

The Last Sermon (Khutbah) of Prophet Muhammad (Farewell Sermon)
Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) delivered his last sermon (Khutbah) on the ninth of Dhul Hijjah (12th and last month of the Islamic year), 10 years after Hijrah (migration from Makkah to Madinah) in the Uranah Valley of mount Arafat. His words were quite clear and concise and were directed to the entire humanity.

After praising, and thanking Allah he said:

“O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds. ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn ‘Abd’al Muttalib (Prophet’s uncle) shall henceforth be waived…

Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship ALLAH, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety (taqwa) and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before ALLAH and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, NO PROPHET OR APOSTLE WILL COME AFTER ME AND NO NEW FAITH WILL BE BORN. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example, the SUNNAH and if you follow these you will never go astray.

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O ALLAH, that I have conveyed your message to your people”.

(Reference: See Al-Bukhari, Hadith 1623, 1626, 6361) Sahih of Imam Muslim also refers to this sermon in Hadith number 98. Imam al-Tirmidhi has mentioned this sermon in Hadith nos. 1628, 2046, 2085. Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal has given us the longest and perhaps the most complete version of this sermon in his Masnud, Hadith no. 19774.)
